SOLSTICE ON GRAND ART FAIRE REGISTRATION
2012 JURIED
The registration form for the June 16, 2012 Solstice on Grand Art Faire (SGAF) to be held on the grounds of the historic Cook-Rutledge Mansion located at 505 W. Grand Ave. in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. follows these notices.

Checks may be made out to VAA or Valley Art Association. Each applicant must pay an exhibitor fee. This is an artist fee, not a “booth” fee. If more than one artist occupies an assigned 10x10 space, each artist must submit a fee of $50.
Deadline for submission of application is May 1, 2012. Late registrations will be considered at the discretion of the committee. Also late registrants may not be included in artist directories due to printing lead times.
CANCELLATION POLICY
A cancellation request postmarked on or before May 15, 2012 will receive a full refund minus a $10 processing fee. A cancellation request postmarked after May 15 will receive no refund.
EXHIBITOR SOLECTION
The Solstice committee is following a ‘juried’ exhibitor selection process as described below. If you exhibit in 2012 but skip a year, you will be required to be re-juried. If you exhibit in 2012 but have changed media, you will be required to be re-juried. To be considered as an exhibitor you must submit three (3) or more photographs representing each categories of work to be displayed in your booth. Upon acceptance of your application by the Review Committee, you will be notified as soon as possible in writing. Payment will be returned to you if you are not accepted for participation. If you wish to have the photographs submitted returned to you, please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope for that purpose and check the box indicating that in the proper box on the registration form below.
Date, Time & Fees
Saturday, June 16, 2012. Set 6-9 a.m. Purchase award selection begins at 9 a.m. Art fair is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Display space of 10’x10’ will be provided. The grounds make all spaces desirable. Larger three-dimensional works can be accommodated.
Spaces for new exhibitors will be allocated by lottery.
RESPONSIBILITY OF EXHIBITORS…
• Exhibitors will insure that all artwork is original in concept and design by the exhibiting artist. Copyright restrictions will apply. No kits are allowed. Artist reproductions must be signed and numbered as to size of edition.
• Exhibitors are to be present at the fair and to staff their own booth. SGAF will not provide booth sitters.
• Exhibitors will set-up from 6 AM-9:00 AM. Exhibitors are responsible for loading and unloading, setting up and taking down, and for all materials and artwork.
• Exhibitors must supply their own display materials such as canopies, display tables, shelving and other display materials as needed. Exhibitors are responsible for collection of all sales taxes. Canopies can be no larger than 10 feet x 10 feet.
• Exhibitors will pick up space assignments at the SGAF Information Booth upon arrival at the Mansion.
• Exhibitors will not dismantle booths before 4 PM on the day of the Faire.
• Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up their own space and disposing of litter before leaving at the end of the day. Please make every effort to recycle.
• Exhibitors are encouraged to identify themselves with a nametag.
RESPONSIBILITY OF SOLSTICE ON GRAND ART FAIRE…SGAF will
• Provide each exhibitor with a space approximately 10’x10’ that is non-transferable.
• Provide rest room facilities and trash receptacles
• Provide morning coffee for exhibitors and their helpers
• Publicize the event locally, regionally, and statewide through a variety of media and will provide appropriate signage.
• Provide an artist directory and map of the grounds
• Solicit Purchase Awards and provide publicity for our donors
• Provide for purchase of food items and a place to eat on the grounds of the Mansion.
• Provide a volunteer staff to help direct traffic, help with directions and answer questions.
• Provide a basic First Aid station and lost and found area.
We are looking forward to another successful year. We would like to continue to improve the Faire so that it is beneficial to artists, purchasers, and to the community. Please help us by completing a survey that will be available at the SGAF information booth.
