Priscillamae has a goal, as both an artist and an author, is to embrace a heart of a servant within the art. It is important to her that her work communicate a spiritual essence and embrace an interpretive quality that engages the reader or viewer, in an inner dialogue.
The preferred medium of Olson is watercolor. She has an experimental spirit and loves to balance her own unique style with exploration of multiple styles and techniques. Before settling on her own personal style embodying realism, Priscillamae studied with numerous local, national, and international watercolor artists. Olson is best noted for her floral, philosophical, emotive, inspirational, and interpretive compositions. Having been raised on a farm in her youth, she also enjoys painting farm scenes, animals, and landscapes. Her painting, Price of Freedom, was one of 174 paintings chosen from 454 professional entries from 25 states to be hung in a national juried show.
Olson is retired from 37 years in education as Counselor, Teacher, and Administrator and is blessed to share her joy of painting by teaching classes and workshops for adults and children. Priscillamae is the author of End of the Road: Full Circle Home, and When I Stumble in Life Storms: A Bridge to Carry Me Home.
