Professionally educated in Physical Education, I entered the art world in the late 1990s with an oil painting class at From the Beginning in Eau Claire. I was hooked on art, but not on the mess and smells of oil. At that time, our Parks and Rec program offered classes for drawing and watercolor. I found my medium! I eventually ventured into a watercolor class at the University. Twelve years later and many classes and workshops, I am still playing and experimenting with multiple media and styles of art.
Trying to capture light and mix colors with watercolor is so exciting; I enjoy sharing the experience with others in classes. There is always something more to learn. My work can be seen at Tangled Up In Hue and the Local Store and my home studio by appointment as well as periodically in local galleries in Eau Claire.
I am member of the Valley Art Association and the Chippewa Valley Watercolor Artists.
