Greetings. My name is Amy.
I am a resident of Eau Claire, WI. I work as a full time registered nurse and caretaker. In my spare time, I love creating art. I grew up in the rural, peaceful area of Cadott, WI. Some of my interests included nature, music, gardening, cooking, traveling and spending time with my family, friends and pets. And of course, I have always carried a passion for art. Growing up, there was rarely an occasion that I would be seen without my sketchbook.
I enjoy creating art using various mediums. I am currently focusing on sculpture. My sculptures are constructed with various materials to create a base which I cover in a layer of homemade, air-dry paper clay. I then cover it in a protective layer of gesso. After that, I paint using acrylic and finally, varnish.
I hope that my multidimensional creations will spark curiosity and wonder in the eyes of the beholder.
